Trinidadian/Nigerian heritage; born and raised in London. 2017 LOCO Discovery Award Nominee. Received First Draft's best actress nomination for her performance in 'Hangman' by Sam Benjamin, directed by Theatre6 Artistic director Kate McGregor.
Working within social housing in the London borough she grew up in, Ava's desire to amplify the voices of her community opened her eyes to the power of drama to bring light to the often unheard voices of society. She went on to train as an actor at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
