Emily In Paris Season 4 Star Was Fired Before Season 5 Without Explanation
Image
A well-known actor has admitted that he was fired from his guest spot on Darren Star's hit Netflix comedy show, Emily in Paris. First premiering on Netflix on October 2, 2020, the show has run for 4 seasons, and has been renewed for Emily in Paris season 5. The show stars Lily Collins and is one of her most well-remembered roles.

While facing some controversies, including one concerning the problematic portrayal of a Ukrainian character, the show has still proved to be a hit with audiences and has modestly positive reviews from critics. The series consistently crawls its way into Netflix's top 10 list every time a new season is dropped.

‘Emily in Paris’ Casting Director Juliette Ménager on Becoming the Show’s Secret Weapon, Finding the Perfect Sylvie Grateau and Why Camille Razat ‘Could Maybe Come Back’
Image
“We’ve created a monster!” quips casting director Juliette Ménager about the “Emily in Paris” frenzy. Ménager, who describes herself as a gourmet French chef known for mastering the secret sauce that American showrunners are lining up for, has been part of Darren Star’s romantic comedy series from the beginning.

She’s contributed significantly to its success with her clever casting hunches, such as Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays chic and fierce boss Sylvie Grateau. The 62-year-old Leroy-Beaulieu, a fan favorite with over four decades of credits, filled a role initially written for a 35 to 40-year-old actress. Or Marcello, Emily’s Italian beau, who needed a different look than the typical Italian hunk. But the Netflix show, the fifth season of which is currently filming, is only one of many hits on her long resumé.

Over her 30-plus year career, she’s worked on music videos by Daft Punk and Mylene Farmer,...

Rupert Everett Claims He Was “Fired” From ‘Emily In Paris’: “I Couldn’t Get Over It”
Image
After making his Emily in Paris debut in Season 4, don’t expect to see Rupert Everett back in the City of Love next season.

The two-time Golden Globe nominee recently recalled the “tragedy” of not being asked back to reprise his role as Italian fashion designer Giorgio Barbieri in the Netflix series after he played the role in the Season 4 episode “All Roads Lead to Rome.”

“For me, it was a tragedy. I was in bed for two weeks because I couldn’t get over it,” he told Vanity Fair.

“I did a scene in the latest season, and they told me, ‘Next year we’ll speak,'” continued Everett. “I waited for them to call me — but ultimately, it never came, and they just fired me. ‘Emily in Paris’ Actor Opens Up About Unexpected Exit From Season 5
Image
TV shows operate on a revolving-door basis, with actors constantly coming and going, and Emily in Paris is no exception. However, it appears one actor was let go without a proper send-off. The Netflix romantic drama, led by Lily Collins, also stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, and Lucas Bravo, among others. Over its four-season run, the series has featured a rotating lineup of recurring and guest stars, from Kate Walsh to Rupert Everett and even a cameo by French First Lady Brigitte Macron. Everett appeared in the Season 4 finale as one of the intriguing new characters Emily meets in Rome. With Season 5 expected to continue her adventures in the Eternal City, many assumed he'd return, but according to Everett, that’s not happening.

Everett, alongside the French First Lady, Macron, Raoul Bova, Debi Mazar, and Anna Galiena, all made their debut appearances on the show in Season 4 in guest capacities.

Image
Joe Berlinger, who has directed true-crime documentaries about Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer, has helped get six innocent people out of prison including the West Memphis Three and has aided the families of countless victims of serial killers.

But Berlinger, whose latest series Conversations with a Killer: The Son of Sam Tapes comes out tomorrow on Netflix, does not love everything the incredibly popular genre has become. He tells Deadline that things have changed since he directed his first film, Brother’s Keeper, about an alleged murder in Munnsville, New York, in the early 1990s.

“If you Google me now, it often says he’s a true-crime pioneer or whatever and even today, after four seasons of Conversations with a Killer and Crime Scene and all of the other shows I’ve done, the phrase true-crime associated with my work gives me the willies. I like the...

Emily in Paris Sets Sights on Venice for August Shoot
Luca Zaia
Netflix has confirmed that Emily in Paris will relocate to Venice for a ten-day shoot from 5–15 August, marking the first time the romantic-comedy series has filmed in the lagoon city. The Veneto region granted permits after Governor Luca Zaia hailed the production as “a showcase for our cultural heritage” and predicted a tourism boost despite peak-season crowds. Cameras are expected to capture the Rialto Bridge, Piazza San Marco and sections of the Grand Canal, with nighttime closures planned to minimise disruption to vaporetto service.

The move south follows a May shooting block in Rome that introduced Italian fashion heir Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini, as Emily Cooper’s new love interest while she oversees Agence Grateau’s fledgling Rome office. Series lead Lily Collins will reunite with Lucas Bravo and Ashley Park, but Camille Razat will not return after her character’s season-four departure. Creator Darren Star has hinted that...

Suits LA Star Lines Up Their Next Major TV Show Less Than 2 Months After NBC Canceled The Legal Drama
Image
Two months after the cancellation of Suits LA, one of its stars has landed a major role. Led by Arrow star Stephen Amell, with original series creator Aaron Korsh returning to spearhead the spinoff, Suits LA turned its attention to the world of entertainment law and put former prosecutor Ted Black right at the center of the action.

Amell was joined by Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg, Maggie Grace, Tim Winbush, Alice Lee, and Azita Ghanizada, but the new focus and the overall new characters did not continue the revived momentum that the original found on streaming. Suits LA season 2 was axed by NBC in May, owing to the legal drama's weak ratings and the network's shifting priorities.

Deadline confirms that Bryan Greenberg has joined Emily in Paris season 5. The actor, who played Rick Dodsen on the Suits spinoff, will play the recurring role of Jake in the hit Netflix romantic dramedy.

10 Years After Flopping at the Box Office, Ryan Reynolds’ Forgotten $33M Sci-Fi Bomb Is Back on Streaming
Image
Ryan Reynolds set the world on fire last year with his performance as Wade Wilson in Deadpool & Wolverine, but before he ever suited up as the Merc With a Mouth, he starred in a sci-fi thriller that just got an important streaming update. Reynolds stars alongside Ben Kingsley in Self/less, the 2015 sci-fi film following a man who transfers his consciousness into a younger body, only to realize that the procedure didn’t quite go according to plan. Self/less is not currently streaming anywhere, but Peacock has swooped in to save the day, confirming that the film will begin streaming on the platform tomorrow, July 1. Self/less was maligned by critics and audiences, earning an 18% from the former and a 46% from the latter on Rotten Tomatoes. It also grossed only $31 million at the box office against a $26 million budget.

Àlex and David Pastor wrote the script for Self/less, and Tarsem Singh directed the film.

Why Camille Razat's Camille deLalisse Left Netflix's Emily In Paris

If you've been watching "Emily in Paris" since the beginning, you're familiar with Camille deLalisse, one of the show's main characters played by Camille Razat. Originally introduced as the girlfriend of handsome chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), neighbor and on-again, off-again paramour of the titular Emily Cooper (Lily Collins). In an Instagram post on April 23, 2025, Razat posted a collection of on-set photos accompanied with a caption explaining her choice. 5 Netflix shows in danger of ending this year
Image
One of the worst feelings is getting invested in a television show only for it to get canceled well before its prime, leaving piles and piles of loose ends, countless cliffhangers, and unresolved plots. There are several variables for why television shows or series are canceled, from low viewership numbers to high filming costs.

While we do not know for certain if the following Netflix shows will be canceled this year, the chances, in our opinion, seem rather high. Some on our list may surprise you, but if there's one thing we know for certain about television show endings, they are often unexpected.

Believe it or not, but The Watcher is based on a true story, or a true nightmare if you will, about the Broaddus family moving into a new home only to be plagued by letters from an unknown stalker, The Watcher. The show ends without...

Bravo declared himself “frustrated” with Emily in Paris and that playing Gabriel was “not fun anymore” as the character was “being slowly turned into guacamole.” In a scathing interview, he made numerous disparaging comments about the writers and his character in the show.

“I think the latter, just a misunderstanding,” Star clarified in the recent interview. “I think he never intended not to come back.” So, looks like there are no hard feelings between the actor and the creator, well at least not in the public eye.

Emily in Paris season 5 will have more 'complicated' twists for Emily's love life
Image
In case you hadn't heard the exciting news, Emily's officially back in Paris and hard at work filming the new season of her misadventures in love and life. Emily in Paris season 5 began filming in Rome in early May 2025 before making it back to Paris for the remainder of production. Let's not read too far into what it means that Emily has returned to Paris before we see what happens.

But we might be able to read as far as we'd like into recent comments shared by Emily in Paris creator Darren Star, in which he teases what to expect for Emily's love life in season 5. Even though she finally seems happy and settled in a healthy relationship with Marcello at the end of season 4, it looks like our girl just can't avoid a bit of mess what it comes to romance.

10 Movies About Suicide That You Can Watch on Netflix
Image
Stories that deal with suicide aren’t easy to sit through—but sometimes, they’re the ones we need most. In a world where mental health still struggles to be talked about openly, movies about suicide serve not just as mirrors, but as quiet lifelines. They help put into words—and pictures—feelings that are often buried too deep to explain. Whether it’s a character’s internal breakdown or the aftermath of a tragic decision, these narratives carry the weight of what it means to be human, fallible, and searching for a reason to stay. Movies about suicide that you can stream on Netflix aren’t just depressing dramas. They offer moments of grace, resilience, and even humor, wrapped around the gravity of the subject. Here are 10 such films that handle these complex emotions with sincerity and care.

1. The Starling (2021)

Starring: Melissa McCarthy, Chris O’Dowd, Kevin Kline

Image
Exploring The Current Status Of Emilia Clarke’s Love Life (Photo Credit – Instagram)

Emilia Clarke is one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood. She rose to fame after appearing in the globally acclaimed series Game of Thrones. Although the actress has been involved in many other prestigious projects, like Me Before You and Secret Invasion, she is mainly recognized as Daenerys Targaryen from GoT.

Clarke spent significant time under the spotlight, which also brought consistent scrutiny over her personal life. Over the years, she has sparked several dating and relationship rumors, even though the actress has mostly kept her private life under wraps.

Emilia Clarke reportedly dated Seth MacFarlane between 2012 and 2013 and was linked with Charlie McDowell in 2018. After breaking up with the latter, she was seen with DJ Sebastian ‘Bassi’ Fox in 2014. However, according to ComingSoon.Net, she has presumably been single since parting ways with DJ Fox.

A 'Game of Thrones' Icon's Forgotten British Crime Thriller Is a Surprise Hit on Streaming
Image
Everyone loves Sean Bean. Passionately beloved for his portrayal of Ned Stark in the first season of Game of Thrones, Boromir in J.R.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings, and most recently, as one part of the brilliant Prime Video comedy, Deep Cover, Bean's legions of fans will always celebrate his many projects in a career that spans over 40 years. In light of the release of Deep Cover, one of Bean's more forgotten action flicks has found its way onto streaming charts, officially joining the ranks of Starz's top 10 most-streamed movies in the US as of June 17, 2025.

Titled Cleanskin, the movie, written, directed, and produced by Hadi Hajaig, follows Bean's Ewan as he "works for the secret service and is assigned the task of tracking down and eliminating a suicide bomber and his terrorist cell." A classic, stylish British crime flick, Cleanskin earned a respectable...

Before He Became Thor, Chris Hemsworth Starred in This Live-Action 'Snow White' Sequel That's Making Waves on the HBO Charts
Image
Not long after he wielded Thor's hammer in the MCU, Chris Hemsworth wielded an ax in this live-action fantasy feature, The Huntsman: Winter's War. This 2016 movie received a poor reception among fans and critics during its initial release, but perhaps it is thanks to the live-action Snow White movie that made its way to Disney+ recently that this box office flop is now making the rounds on HBO Max's streaming charts.

According to FlixPatrol, The Huntsman: Winter's War is among the top 20 Movies on HBO, placing in 11th place as of June 17, 2025, just below Eva Green's war film Dirty Angels. Unfortunately, prior to this streaming success, this prequel/sequel to the 2012 film Snow White and the Huntsmanwas deemed a box office flop. It generated over $164 million worldwide while earning a poor critics' score of 20% and a low audience score of 45% on Rotten Tomatoes.

‘Squid Game’ Season 3 Trailer: Real Reason Netflix Show Will End Early Reveals Its Avoiding The ‘Emily in Paris’ Mistake
Image
Every good thing must come to an end eventually. It’s not necessary that the ending should be good, since shows like Game of Thrones have proved that no endings are good endings.

Well, the first trailer for Squid Game Season 3 has been released to the world, and fans are already losing their mind. Questions have been raised as to why this show is ending since creator Hwang Dong-hyuk may have so many more stories to tell. Luckily, Netflix has learned from its Emily in Paris mistake and doesn’t want to repeat the same thing with the iconic show.

Squid Game Season 3 will be more tense

That’s not us saying it. It’s what creator Hwang Dong-hyuk intended while he had the whole Squid Game arc planned out. The story, which started with Seong Gi-hun, should end with Seong Gi-hun, and that is what season 3 will be about.

It is also expected that Lady Gaga will perform several songs — including her tune "Bloody Mary," which went viral as the backing track for fans doing Wednesday Addams' iconic dance from Season 1. Does anyone else think we'll get a sneak peek at the singer's Season 2 cameo?...
