Ashley Almon was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to her parents Bonnie
and Rick Almon alongside her older sister Diana Almon. Ashley began her
journey into performing when her mother enrolled her into ballet
classes at the age of four. One year later she performed on stage at
the Jubilee Auditorium in the big budget Production of 'A Little
Mermaid'. At the age of twelve Ashley longed to get back into
performing and joined Youth Singers which performed internationally and
annually at the 'Calgary Stampede' but dropped out after a month as she
hated it. Time went by and her talent untapped, Ashley was fifteen when
she started modeling. Ashley did her first catwalk for TIGI in Calgary
which after her picture was in the local newspaper with a fashion
article titled 'Female Allure'. Modelling was on her mind that year,
which she also did her first year of drama class. Before completing her
drama class and her last performance her teacher pulled her aside and
said "Make sure in high school you take more drama class, and with
acting never stop." Ashley was surprised and shocked but on the record,
Art, Drama and English were her strongest subjects.
In high school, Ashley enrolled in Drama but found it to be too technical and was easily bored by the history and paperwork of it. Ashley kept on modeling and moved to Fort McMurray Alberta at the age of seventeen. When Ashley turned eighteen she began building her portfolio as a independent model. An extreme truck calendar, lingerie shoots, fashion photo shoots led her to bikini modeling in Puerto Vallarta for one week with Ujena in 2006. She was humbled to have such amazing experiences and wanted to work harder and play equally as hard. Everyday and every photo shoot Ashley would work one on one with the photographer and come up new and creative images. Ashley modeled at Ujena 2007 in Puerto Vallarta for two weeks and kept working locally after she returned home. In 2008 Ashley joined a Talent agency for modeling and was listed on the roster for acting, she accepted took the opportunity. She took a auditioning and acting workshop and a week after that got a background role as a Dancer in the Made for T.V. Movie "Confessions of a go-go girl". In 2009 Ashley was cast as Candice in the short horror film 'Sisters'.'Sisters' was a short horror film about sororicide and the deathly love between sisters. In 2011 Ashley signed on to another indie project named "Lost and Found" a short thriller. Ashley continues on and has become fully involved in acting which she calls 'her therapy'.
