Ra Chapman is a Korean-Australian writer and actor whose work spans film, television, and
theatre. Recognized as one of IF Magazine's 2024 Rising Talents, Ra garnered a 2025
Australian Writers Guild (AWGIE) Award nomination for her TV comedy series White
Fever, which she created, wrote, and starred in. The series is streaming on ABC
iView. Ra is an alumnus of the Besen Writers Group at Malthouse Theatre and the recipient
of the 2018 Hot Desk Fellowship from the Wheeler Centre. Her play K-Box earned the 2021
Patrick White Playwright Award and had its debut at Malthouse Theatre in 2022 to critical
acclaim. Ra's work in television also includes SBS horror series Night Bloomers, which
earned her another Australian Writers Guild (AWGIE) Award nomination. Ra won the Best Actress
Award at the 2011 Newport Beach Film Festival for her role as Therese in David
Williamson's film adaptation of Face To Face, and was nominated for an IF Award for Best
Actress for the same performance. Ra has filmed five seasons of the award-winning Foxtel
Series Wentworth, reprising her role as prisoner Kim Chang, and will star alongside D'Arcy Carden
and Will Forte in the upcoming Stan series Sunny Nights
