Bryce Jacobs is a unique and eclectic composer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist who writes and performs his own brand of hybrid soundtrack music. After completing a Bachelor of Music in Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Bryce returned 18 months later to complete a Masters in Composition. It was during this time of study that Bryce realized his desire and infatuation with film music was to be his musical focus from this point on. Bryce's dedication to film music led to the development of a guitar of his own design - a guitar that was based on the range and capabilities of a piano. Through the facilitation of transcribing existing piano music faithfully onto this guitar, the instrument became a new and exciting platform to write and perform any style of music, which encouraged more of the hybrid-orientated music Bryce continually develops. As a session and touring musician, Bryce has worked for Australian artists such as Josh Pyke and Genevieve Maynard, as well as international artists such as Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Ramin Djawadi, KT Tunstall, Five for Fighting, Steve Jablonsky, Geoff Zanelli, and Sophie B. Hawkins. He was involved with the orchestration, copying, recording, and performing of such films as "Happy Feet", "Jumper", "Gabriel", "Australia" and "P.S. I Love You". Inspired by his progress, his undying ambition led him to move to Los Angeles to continue his journey. With his move to L.A., Bryce quickly attained a position at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions where he was part of the writing and production of many hit films, video games and television shows. Through this time, he worked very closely with Grammy Nominated and Emmy Winning composer of "Game of Thrones" fame, Ramin Djawadi. This relationship led to working on projects such as Warner Brothers' "Clash of the Titans", MGM/UA's "Red Dawn", EA's "Medal of Honor" and "Need for Speed" and Activision's "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" among many others. In addition to this, Bryce has also performed on the scores for "Rango", "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides", "Puss in Boots", "Savages" and "Fifty Shades of Grey", to name a few. In early 2012, Bryce completed a unique Song/Score for the feature film "Bad Karma" starring Ray Liotta and Dominic Purcell. Bryce also worked closely with Hans as composer and featured guitarist on the Ron Howard film, "Rush", which was released to wide critical acclaim in 2013. Parallel to this was his creative guitar work on Legendary Pictures "Man of Steel". In 2015, Bryce collaborated with KT Tunstall on the indie film "Carried". Shortly after this, he wrote the dark soul/funk infused score for the Sundance featured documentary "Drunk, Stoned, Brilliant, Dead: The Story of The National Lampoon". The next year, Bryce completed a pilot for ABC Studios (U.S) that was executively produced by Reese Witherspoon (starring Anna Paquin, Blair Underwood and Penelope Ann Miller). In 2017, Bryce composed episodes of SyFy's "12 Monkeys" Season 3, and wrote and produced the score and feature song ("Best Man") to the hilarious indie comedy "Random Tropical Paradise". In 2018, Bryce composed the score for Icon Pictures' "Yowie" series as well as writing music for Universal Pictures and Legendary Entertainment's "Skyscraper" (starring Dwayne Johnson). He also composed music for Walt Disney Pictures' "Christopher Robin", which in addition featured his guitar and vocal performances. Bryce was song producer on the Netflix cult followed show, "Daybreak", and most recently, Bryce was music producer on a project involving Five for Fighting and the Ukrainian Orchestra; a music video set in the ruins of the air hanger of what used to be the largest plane in the world (the national pride of Ukraine, and therefore, the first thing that was bombed). The footage is interjected with images of Ukraine and those affected by the devastation. It was an incredible project to be involved with (professionally and personally). Bryce has worked with such record and publishing companies as Universal Music Group, Peer Music, Def Jam, Warner, Capitol Records and Position Music; producing, writing and cultivating their artists; infusing his cinematic sensibilities and record producing, while cultivating their own musical personalities to bring the individuality of a new project to life (including his own band, Lux Veritas).
