- Joe Farina was born and raised in Chicago. He is the youngest son of Dennis and Patricia Farina. His father, actor Dennis Farina, worked as a Chicago Police detective, while his mother, Patricia, raised three sons.
Joe has been around the acting and entertainment industry since he was 7 years old shadowing and learning from his father, the late Dennis Farina (Crime Story, Midnight Run, Law & Order), on various projects. Joe was born in Chicago and grew up in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on the northwest side. He has two older brothers: Dennis Jr and Michael. Joe is a graduate of Gordon Tech High School and DePaul University.
Joe has starred in various TV and film projects including the award-winning short films Debt of the Heart and Strapped. He co-starred in the films Chasing Robert and RiffRaff. He played Kevin the Pepsi Rep in the feature film The Promotion and has several scenes with star John C. Reilly. Joe's other credits include the films Devil's Dominoes, Paranormal Island and The Swing
Joe has appeared on 2 episodes of the NBC show Chicago Fire, most recently playing Fireman Bower.
