L2: Empuraan achieved massive milestones at the box office. Unfortunately, due to its massive budget, the ‘hit’ tag isn’t one of them. Mohanlal is back to redeem himself with the thriller Thudarum. Shows impressive growth on Saturday

Thudarum made a good start on day 1, earning 5.24 crore net. It showcased 71% growth on Saturday, with an estimated 8.96 crore net coming in, as per Sacnilk. It registered an impressive occupancy of 65% during the morning shows. Footfalls further surged to 86% during the afternoon and 84% during the night shows.

The two-day total of Mohanlal starrer concludes around 14.21 crore net. Including taxes, the gross earnings land at 16.76 crores.

Last year, Nani came to the silver screen with the crime-action drama Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, directed by Vivek Athreya. The film was originally released in India on August 29, 2024. Now, the film is set to release in Japan. According to 123 Telugu, the movie will hit Japanese theatres on February 14, 2025. An official announcement regarding the Japanese release has been made, and bookings are now open.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is directed and written by Vivek Athreya and features an impressive cast. Nani stars as Surya, with Priyanka Arulmohan as Charulatha, S.J. Suryah as Daya, Murli Sharma as Koormanand, Ajay as Govardhan, Aditi Balan as Bhadra, Sai Kumar as Sankaram, Jhansi as Vasudha, Harshavardhan as Si Sudhakar, Ajay Ghosh as Narayana Prabha, and Subhalekha Sudhakar as Hc Kamalakar N.

The film’s cinematography is by Murali G, editing by Karthika Srinivas, music composed by Jakes Bejoy, and art direction by G.M. Sekhar.

Windhoek (Namibia), March 30 (Ians) United Arab Emirates (UAE) were stunned by a determined United States of America (USA) side while Namibia were too good for Jersey on the fourth day of the Icc Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off, here on Thursday.

The UAE innings was rattled early after skipper Muhammad Waseem fell to Saurabh Netravalkar in the very first over. Not unlike the Namibian approach on Wednesday, Vriitya Aravind (57) and Aryan Lakra (26) looked to keep their foot on the pedal.
