Kristy Sexton is an American Actress, Industry Professional, and Acting Coach. Kristy has worked as a private acting coach on the sets of over 40 major feature films and television shows internationally including Aquaman (2018), Reef Break (2019), and The Love Triangle (2012). Kristy was born and raised in Los Angeles, and has been coaching actors for nearly decades. In addition to teaching classes and workshops in LA. Kristy was a nominee for the Oscar Award with more than two decades of experience in the entertainment industry.
In terms of "technique", I leverage the teachings of Sanford Meisner, Konstantin Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, and Stella Adler. Kristy truly believes that actors need to take what works from them from as many different techniques and teachers as they can. For me there is no single correct way to get to your best acting but rather, using all of the tools at your disposal in order to produce the best result. It's been a blessing to have worked with A-list actors, as well as fresh new talent working to get a foot in the door. Nothing brings me greater joy than watching one of my students succeed in an industry that required such rigor and grit.
In addition to coaching actors, I am also an author. My first book, Acting in LA: How to Become a Working Actor in Hollywood, is scheduled for release on November 21, 2017, as is currently available on Amazon.
