But before we get stuck into that, check out M3GAN throwing some shapes to Chappell Roan's 'Femininomenon' in the first teaser trailer for Megan 2.0:
"Miss me?" asks Amie Donald's Jenna Davis voiced bot in the new M3GAN 2.0 spot, released during this past weekend's Grammys. We'll say! The sci-fi thriller M3GAN (read our review Here, get a copy Here) was such a financial success when it reached theatres in January of last year, it didn’t even take Universal Pictures and production companies Blumhouse and Atomic Monster two weeks to announce that they’d be re-teaming for a sequel. The killer AI-powered doll movie M3GAN (which gets its name from the fact that the doll is a Model 3 Generative Android) reached theatres back on January 6, 2023 – but months before the movie was even released, we were hearing that Universal Pictures was so pleased with it, sequel discussions were already underway. And less than two weeks after M3GAN made its way out into the world, Universal officially announced that we’ll be getting M3GAN 2.0 in 2025. The release date has changed a couple of times since then, moving from January 17 to May 16 to June 25, but the project has made its way through production and looks likely to stick with that June release date. In anticipation of the killer doll’s return, we have now put together a list of Everything We Know About M3GAN 2.0.

Presence is an upcoming supernatural horror thriller film directed by Steven Soderbergh from a screenplay by David Koepp. The upcoming film revolves around a family who move into a suburban neighborhood and soon believe their house is haunted. While the plot for Presence sounds like a typical horror film, the ultimate twist, aka hook for the upcoming Soderbergh film, is that the film is shot from the ghost’s perspective.

'M3GAN' star Allison Williams wants the horror franchise to "keep going" with more sequels and spin-offs.The scary flick – which follows the murderous robot doll M3GAN – will be expanded on with its sequel 'M3GAN 2.0', and the 36-year-old actress has said she's happy to keep coming back to the franchise so long as the stories are "interesting".Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Williams said: "Let's just keep going as long as they're interesting and each one has its own story to tell."As well as 'M3GAN 2.0' – which is slated to hit cinemas next year – the series is due to receive its first spin-off 'SOULM8TE', and Williams joked the series was slowly turning into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) thanks to its growing filmography. The actress – who is also serving as producer on 'M3GAN 2.0' – was asked what an Avengers-level threat...

M3GAN was a bigger hit than expected in 2022 and Blumhouse is acting quickly to capitalise on the movie's box office success. Along with a sequel about the killer doll titled M3GAN 2.0, an erotic-thriller spin-off, SOULM8TE, is also in the works.
So, you could call it an all-new MCU (M3GAN Cinematic Universe). "I am terrified to imagine what that would mean. What is the Thanos equivalent?" star Allison Williams tells Entertainment Weekly (via FearHQ.com). "Let's just keep going as long as they're interesting and each one has its own story to tell."
While plot details are being kept a secret ahead of the sequel's release in theaters next year, director Gerard Johnstone teases, "I had actually a different idea for the ending of M3GAN, which would've been interesting but probably not as satisfying. The good thing about doing a sequel is I got the chance to expand on that idea into a longer narrative.

We recently got our first look at Blumhouse and Atomic Monster's M3GAN 2.0 via a behind-the-scenes image, and some rumored plot details for the killer doll sequel have now been shared online.
Despite doing her best to eliminate Gemma and Cady in the first movie, it seems M3GAN will actually take on a more heroic role in the sequel, joining forces with her former enemies to combat a new threat.
According to scooper Mttsh, "M3GAN is rebuilt to take on a dangerous AI named Amelia (played by Ahsoka's Ivanna Sakhno), a creation of the military designed to take over the world."
Given the title character's massive popularity, making her a good guy might turn out to be a smart move. If the studio has any sense at all, M3GAN 2.0 will feature some kind of dance-off between the two robots.

A sequel to Blumhouse and Atomic Monster's M3GAN seemed inevitable after the critically-acclaimed sci-fi horror movie performed surprisingly well at the box office, and we found out last January that M3GAN 2.0 was officially in development.
Now, Vanity Fair has shared a first look at the movie via a behind-the-scenes image featuring the return of the murderous doll, who evidently manages to find a new body (that just so happens to look identical to the old one) after the events of the first film.
M3GAN stars Alison Williams as Gemma, a brilliant roboticist at a toy company who uses artificial intelligence to develop a life-like doll programmed to be a kid’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. After unexpectedly gaining custody of her orphaned niece Cady (Violet McGraw), Gemma enlists the help of the M3GAN prototype – but, as you might expect, things don't exactly go according to plan.

M3GAN expands with a sequel & a spinoff movie, now casting Evil Dead Rise's Lily Sullivan for the lead role. SOULM8TE follows a man coping with the loss of his wife who acquires an AI-powered android. DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn promised that Creature Commandos would be the first of many Dcu-based animated projects, and we may now know which character the next one will focus on.
According to Nexus Point News, an animated series centred around Deadman is in the early stages of development, though the site notes that no writers or scripts are currently in place and the show has yet to receive an official green light.
This wouldn't be the first time Deadman appeared in animated form, and the supernatural hero almost made his live-action debut on a couple of occasions. A CW series was in the works way back in 2011 before being shelved, and the character would have been part of the Justice League Dark roster in M3GAN director Gerard Johnstone's now defunct movie along with Swamp Thing, Constantine, and Zatanna.

Remember the dancing yet murderous doll, M3GAN? Well, she'll soon be back in an upcoming horror film called M3GAN 2.0. This is the sequel to the box office hit M3GAN, and we can't wait to see it when it hits theaters on its (new) release date, June 27, 2025.

Then, in January 2023, M3GAN director Gerard Johnstone confirmed that talks were being had about a sequel in an interview with Collider. We’ve known that M3GAN stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw will be reprising their roles in M3GAN 2.0, which is set to reach theatres on June 27, 2025 – and now, with filming underway, Deadline reports that Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps are also returning from the first movie. New additions include Ivanna Sakhno (Ahsoka), who recently landed a major part in the sequel, Jemaine Clement (What We Do in the Shadows), Timm Sharp (Blunt Talk), and Aristotle Athari (Saturday Night Live).

It’s time to put M3GAN back together, as Blumhouse has announced this morning that principal photography is now underway on M3GAN 2.0, the sequel to the box office horror hit.
M3GAN 2.0 arrives in theaters on June 27, 2025. Check out an early tease below…
Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are back for the sequel, with Akela Cooper (Malignant, M3GAN) once again writing the script and James Wan on board to produce. Deadline also reports today that Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari and Jemaine Clement have joined the cast.
Gerard Johnstone (M3GAN) is back to direct the upcoming sequel.
Spoiler Warning: M3GAN ends with the titular doll being destroyed, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned from the Child’s Play franchise it’s that killer dolls can never truly be killed!
M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally.

M3GAN is getting a spinoff movie, Soulm8te, similar to Black Mirror's "Be Right Back". Soulm8te follows a man who buys an AI android after losing his wife, turning it into a deadly soulmate. Soulm8te faces challenges to differentiate itself from M3GAN and avoid comparisons to Black Mirror's episode.
The world of M3GAN is expanding with a spinoff movie in addition to a proper sequel, but the spinoff movie already sounds too similar to one of Black Mirrors best episodes. The horror genre continues to enjoy a successful run with adaptations of other works, sequels, reboots, and original works, and one of the biggest surprises in the latter category is M3GAN. Directed by Gerard Johnstone, M3GAN was released in 2022 and took critics and general audiences by surprise with its blend of sci-fi, horror, and comedy. M3GAN was a critical and commercial success, becoming one of 2022s best horror movies.

Universal Pictures has just announced (via Deadline) release dates – in some cases, new release dates for movies that are shifting around on their schedule – for five upcoming horror films… and every one of them happens to be a Blumhouse production. The movies in question are The Woman in the Yard, Drop, The Black Phone 2, M3GAN 2.0, and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 – and we’re about to go through them one-by-one.
First up is the thriller The Woman in the Yard, which was once set to reach theatres on January 10, 2025, but was bumped out of that date so the Blumhouse reboot of Wolf Man could move from this October to January 17th. Jaume Collet-Serra is directing the film, which stars Danielle Deadwyler of The Devil to Pay and Till, Okwui Okpokwasili of The Exorcist: Believer and I Am Legend, and Russell Hornsby of The Hate U Give and Fences.

It was probably only a matter of time before Atomic Monster and Blumhouse announced a sequel to M3GAN after the critically-acclaimed sci-fi horror movie performed very well at the box office, and we found out last January that M3GAN 2.0 was officially in development.
Now, Deadline is reporting that Ahsoka star Ivanna Sakhno has joined the cast. No details on her character were provided, but it is said to be a "major role." Sakhno joins the original movie's stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw.
Sakhno played Force-sensitive mercenary Shin Hati in the Disney+ Star Wars series, and is expected to reprise the role for the second season.
M3GAN stars Williams as Gemma, a brilliant roboticist at a toy company who uses artificial intelligence to develop a life-like doll programmed to be a kid’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. After unexpectedly gaining custody of her orphaned niece,...

Ahsoka's Ivanna Sakhno is joining M3GAN 2.0's cast in a major role. The sequel will also feature returning stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw. Ivanna Sakhno is also known for roles in titles including High Fidelity and The Reunion.
M3GAN 2.0 has added one of the stars of Disney+'s Ahsoka to the cast. The upcoming movie is a sequel to one of 2023's biggest horror success stories. The original movie followed roboticist Gemma (Allison Williams) giving her newly orphaned niece Cady (Violet McGraw) a robotic companion named M3GAN whose attempts to protect the girl quickly turned deadly. The movie was a smash hit, earning $181 million worldwide against its $12 million budget, so a sequel was quickly greenlit. The sequel was written by original screenwriter Akela Cooper with original director Gerard Johnstone, who is also in talks to direct.
