Daniela's maternal grandfather, Max Joachim Korn, was an Ashkenazi Jew (born in Wroclaw, Poland). Daniela's maternal grandmother, Vera Jacob Muginstein Azancot, was of Sephardi Jewish and Spanish descent on her own father's side, and of Ashkenazi Jewish descent on her own mother's side (Daniela's matrilineal great-grandmother, Simy Sophie Muginstein, was from Odessa, in the Russian Empire).

On May 12, 2018 Daniela Ruah hosted, with three co-hosts, the Eurovision Songcontest. In Lisbon, live all over Europe, Israel and Australia. This was her first TV hosting job. She was the main presenter when it came to the voting.

Daniela Ruah portrayed a local Italian woman named Sofia & Gerald McRaney portrayed an American Officer in charge named Major General Luntz.

Daniela Ruah is multilingual.She is fluent in Portuguese, English, Italian and Spanish.Portuguese, Italian and Spanish are similar, just different dialects. This allowed Daneila to play her role easily when she played Sofia, an Italian love interest to Joe 'Lightning' Little.

In Neighborhood Watch (2012), she beat Alaina Huffman.
