Just a quick thanks to our readers and congratulations to Porcelain Unicorn filmmakers Keegan Wilcox (director) and Anselm Clinard (producer) who won the Philips Parallel Lines competition.
Director Sir Ridley Scott (of Blade Runner, Gladiator, and American Gangster fame) hand picked Porcelain Unicorn from the top five finalists. Those films had been narrowed down from a field of over 600 by viewer votes.
Keegan's prize (in addition to a bunch of great Phillips equipment) is a week working at a Ridley Scott office. No details yet on where or when, but Keegan promised us an interview when the week is over.
Say "hi" to Ridley for us!

Thanks to your help, Porcelain Unicorn is one step closer to Ridley Scott. This weekend the short film made it into the final five in the Philips' Parallel Lines competition. From here, the grand prize is in the hands of the Blade Runner director himself.
But Keegan Wilcox and crew still need your help one last time. Another round of viewer votes will determine the winner of the People's Voice Award. So if you enjoyed the film, log back on to the Philips' YouTube page and give it one more "thumbs up."
The final winners will be announced the week of September 21.

Porcelain Unicorn is a short film directed by Keegan Wilcox, that packs a big punch into three minutes. It spans half a century and with very little dialogue tells the story of two young children in war torn Germany, who find common ground through a small trinket.
Earlier this summer the short was entered into the Phillips Parallel Lines film competition hosted by Ridley Scott (of Blade Runner, Gladiator, and American Gangster fame). The winner will get to work for one week at one of Scott's offices—a dream come true for any aspiring director.
The Parallel Lines YouTube page displayed hundreds of entries and viewers voted for their favorites. Porcelain Unicorn has made it all the way to the top ten semi-finals, and by Sunday viewer votes will determine the final five. At that point Ridley Scott himself will chose the winner.
