Markus Manninen is a Visual Effects Supervisor, Producer and Director with extensive experience in animation for film, commercials and visual effects. His work includes Academy Award nominated films "Kung Fu Panda" and "The Croods", and he was instrumental in building Oriental DreamWorks where he supervised the studio's work on "Kung Fu Panda 3".
He is the Head of Visual Effects Production at Laika Studios, working on "Wildwood". He was the Global Managing Director of Goodbye Kansas Studios, doing both visual effects and CG animated content. Served as the day to day producer on the animated feature film "Extinct", as a partner and the Creative Director at the animation production company HB Wink Animation (a division of Huayi Brothers) in the company's Burbank location.
