Between 1986 and 1992, Jeffery served at various global locations and aboard different Naval Surface Vessels as a United States Marine. He was part of the Far East Security Forces stationed in Japan and was later a member of an Infantry Company in the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, serving as a combat squad leader. Wounded during the Gulf War, he received the Purple Heart & the Liberation of Kuwait medals for his actions.
