Yvonne Galli's first love was drama. As of 13, she was on stage under the supervision of Jacques Copeau. She then spent two years with the Charles Dullin company before joining the radio. She could be heard on Radio Ile de France, Radio Tour Eiffel and Radio Vitus. Elected "Muse de la Radio" (Radio Muse) in 1935, she decided to give up the stage to devote all of her energy to this thriving new medium, joining the team of Radio Cité where she presented various programs such as the "Radio Crochet" (talent contest program), "Les Fiancés de Byrrh" and "Le Music-Hall des Jeunes". She is best remembered for her role in the long-lasting radio serial "La Famille Duraton" to which she lent her voice to Mme Duraton (from 1936 to the mid-fifties).
