Yvonne Galli's first love was drama. As of 13, she was on stage under
the supervision of Jacques Copeau. She then spent two years with the
Charles Dullin company before joining the radio. She could be heard on
Radio Ile de France, Radio Tour Eiffel and Radio Vitus. Elected "Muse
de la Radio" (Radio Muse) in 1935, she decided to give up the stage to
devote all of her energy to this thriving new medium, joining the team
of Radio Cité where she presented various programs such as the "Radio
Crochet" (talent contest program), "Les Fiancés de Byrrh" and "Le
Music-Hall des Jeunes". She is best remembered for her role in the
long-lasting radio serial "La Famille Duraton" to which she lent her
voice to Mme Duraton (from 1936 to the mid-fifties).
