Graduated with honors from Columbia University, where he received a BA in Political Science and Film Studies. MFA in Motion Pictures Producing from USC's Peter Stark Producing Program.
Started his career in New York City, working for MTV, Miramax Films, Buena Vista Pictures Marketing, and later joined the marketing and distribution team at United International Pictures (UIP) in Latin America-- the international joint venture of Paramount, MGM and Universal.
Worked for producer Ray Stark, the story department at The Samuel Goldwyn Company, and later as a foreign sales and acquisitions executive for Helkon International Pictures and Grosvenor Park's Los Angeles office.
