Joanne Rose is a multi-award winning Australian / American screenwriter and producer and founder of Sweetest Pit Bull Productions,
which focuses on comedy, thriller and horror films with strong female characters.
Before she began her path as a screenwriter, she dabbled in modeling and studied acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles. It was after joining a theatre company in West Hollywood, that she discovered her true calling as a writer. This is where she wrote her very first comedy sketch, which she later developed into a comedy web series called Vegan 101. It became a multi award-winning series and starred Oscar-nominated actor, Eric Roberts in Season 2.
With a successful web series behind her, she began studying screenwriting at RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and undertook programs in LA.
Joanne's inspired by many things when it comes to writing, especially real-life scenarios. She is also a Paranormal enthusiast with a passionate interest in the early work of The Society of Psychical Research in the UK during the Victorian era.
