Alex P. Willson is an American film maker and journalist who lives in Los Angeles and New Orleans, originally hailing from Chicago. He's spent many years working and traveling the globe, he has directed a number of short form documentaries and commercials. His work as a film maker has appeared on Channel 4 News London, PBS and the Wall Street Journal. He has made branded video content for diverse clients such as Tulane University, the International Organization on Migration, and Days for Girls. He learned the craft of film making coming up through the camera and lighting departments, starting out on low budget indies in New York City, and working up to some of the biggest budget Hollywood films ever made in the American South.
He speaks conversational Bahasa Indonesian and Spanish. On the side, he co-runs an international non-profit called Learn To Live, specializing in delivering health care education and building reproducible, clean drinking water systems in remote parts of Indonesia, Laos, and South Africa.
Alex is currently in pre-production on a documentary called Snowflake #5391(2017) with Producers, Declan Ryan and Renee Ragucci-Shelton.
