- Serena Lorien's poetry is featured in the book, "Catharsis", written by Remy Davis. Remy Davis's son, SPC Richard Davis, was murdered by fellow soldiers after returning from Iraq, the story was the basis of the Paul Haggis film, In the Valley of Elah (2007). Serena's poem was written especially in honor of SPC Richard Davis.
- Was offered the opportunity to pilot a plane after being the only passenger on the flight after wrapping a film shoot, she flew the plane solo for 15 minutes.
- During an international hosting gig in Florida for Discover America and Brand USA, she caught and reeled-in a 250lb, 7' Sand Bar Shark on her first time ever fishing.
- Became a US Citizen in June, 2014.
- Suffered temporary skin necrosis after she was bitten by a Centipede during her last scene of a feature film shot in India.
- At the age of 18 she was a witness in court for a real life manslaughter case.
- On a snowboarding trip to Switzerland the chalet she stayed in narrowly missed an avalanche hitting it after the town experienced a week of devastating deadly avalanches. She describes watching the avalanche come toward them as looking like a blanket of powdered sugar and beautiful.
