Kathy Rose Center is an actor, screenwriter and playwright, a native Texan, and retired IBM product developer. She dove into acting at age 54 with diligence, fearlessness, an irrepressible sense of humor, and a heart well-tempered by life. She has demonstrated an outstanding range, from improvisational comedy to spell-binding drama. In 2018, she nailed the leading role of an unhinged Grandma in the psychological thriller "Grandma's House," awarded Best Feature Film at the 2018 American Horror Film Festival. On television, her co-starring appearance as "Ma Kettle" in the Season 3 episode 'Mas' of "Breaking Bad" was the featured video clip that week on the AMC TV website. On stage in Austin, TX, her work in a wide variety of roles has been described in reviews as "gripping," "beautiful," "admirable," "sly," and "terrific." Kathy is represented by Collier Talent Agency, is an active member of the ScriptWorks play-writing community, and a core member of the screenwriters group Austin Writers Workshop.
