Trading Spaces (2000)
Trading Spaces Is Bringing Back All the Original Designers You Were Hoping for — and Some Intriguing New Faces
Trading Spaces (2000)
Go ahead, call it a comeback!

Any Trading Spaces aficionado will tell you the hit TLC show, which aired from 2000 to 2008, was just as much about the rotating cast of designers’ big personalities as it was about redecorating on a budget.

On Wednesday, TLC announced the lineup for the show’s forthcoming reboot after a 10-year hiatus, and almost every fan favorite from the original series is making a return. Joining host Paige Davis, who signed on in July, will be Doug Wilson, Genevieve Gorder, Hildi Santo-Tomas, Vern Yip, Frank Bielic, and Laurie Smith. Beloved carpenters Ty Pennington and Carter Oosterhouse will also be back.

New Mom Lisa D'Amato Shares Pic of Antm Pal Drinking Her "Placenta Smoothie"
Tyra Banks in America's Next Top Model (2003)
Um, yum? America's Next Top Model star and new mom Lisa D'Amato recently shared a photo of her Antm buddy Joanie Dodds drinking a smoothie allegedly made out of D'Amato's (gulp) placenta! "Placenta smoothie party w/ @joaniedodds @spraguetheleg who's next?!?!" D'Amato, who welcomed son Daxel Vaughn last month, wrote. In the pic, Dodds and a male friend named Chris Sprague toast with glasses of a pink drink. Dodds is all smiles while holding the smoothie in one hand and baby Daxel in the other. Further supporting her taste for human placenta post-birth, D'Amato posted a few days ago on her WhoSay page, "Prepped my 1st placenta "hers and his" smoothies for my hub...

Lisa D'Amato & "Top Model" Alum Joanie Dodds Drink "Placenta Smoothie"
"America's Next Top Model" alums Lisa D'Amato and Joanie Dodds are reallllly close. How close, you ask? Close enough that Joanie's tasted Lisa's placenta. Yeah, they're tight.Lisa, who just gave birth to her first child last month, shared some very interesting photos on Twitter over the weekend -- showing the "Antm All Stars" winner serving Joanie and friend Chris Sprague a "Placenta smoothie."In the photo, D'Amato's buds are seen holding onto cups of the red concoction, sipping the drink as they cradle newborn Daxel. So, how do they taste? We'll just let Lisa explain."Prepped my 1st placenta "hers and his" smoothies for my hub and I... Tastes like a smoothie! :-) #controversy #placentavitamins #yum," she tweeted out along with another photo of the red stuff.  While we've heard of new mothers eating their placenta, we've never seen anyone share it with someone else too ... and then document it on Twitter.

America's Next Top Model Review: Welcome, All-Stars!
America’s Next Top Model has gone the Top Chef route and gone All-Star on viewers.

Because it is Antm, the returning contestants were a mixed batch of talent and infamy. Is Lisa D’Amato really an All-Star or do they just want to bring back the girl who peed in a diaper? The ultimate icing on the drama cake would have been Jade Cole from Cycle 6 coming back, but she rejected the offer. Drats!

The enthusiasm of the live audience and the returning contestants was really infectious, though, so much so that I enjoyed "Nicki Minaj" more than any other Antm episode in recent cycles.

It was also really fun to see some of my favorite contestants like Bre, Laura, Brittany, Sheena, Isis, and Allison back in the game.It didn’t seem like they shared my sentiment, however.. Aside from a few happy faces, most of the models...

'America's Next Top Model' All-Stars: Who's missing?
"America's Next Top Model" kicks off its first all-star edition Wednesday night (Sept. 14). Almost every past cycle is represented, but for the few that aren't - which models would we have liked to see included?

Cycle 3: Norelle

Norelle in fifth place during Cycle 3, a season with a lot of -- dare we say it -- "fierce" competition. True, no one could compare with Eva "The Diva," the bad skin (and bad attitude) of YaYa or the hard luck story of "I'm going to be completely blind by 30!" Amanda. Which is why she deserves another go around. Her braces are long gone and we while the big-eyed "kawaii" look was a niche back then, it's a full-fledged fashion trend now.

Cycle 6: Joanie

Joanie, Joanie, Joanie. Unlike Cycle 6 winner Danielle, you didn't resist when Tyra sent you the the dentist to get your snaggle tooth fixed. In fact, you couldn't...

Mm@M: Live From Times Square
TV's greatest show has a love affair with the movies. So we have a love affair with TV's greatest show. We call it Mad Men @ The Movies.

The world premiere party for Mad Men Season 4 kicked off in Times Square a few hours before the show on Sunday night. I was honored to be invited so I must give thanks to the wonderful Lipp sisters of Basket of Kisses who always keep me in the swing of things when it comes to Sterling Cooper, excuse me, Scdp (Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce). It's always good to hang with the vivacious Lipps and I also got to chat with other Mm fans including the adorable talented Carol Hannah of Project Runway fame.

The VIP crowd got Barbies. I managed to procure a Don & Betty set. (More on these dolls here. They retail for $75)

Left: Me (the hat was with the gift bag); Right: Girl from costume contest.

America's Next Top Model: Cycle 6's Joanie Dodds Talks 'Run My Renovation'
Tyra Banks in America's Next Top Model (2003)
We're having one of those off days on America's Next Top Model since the show really isn't on air.  So what better way to spend those scouring the Web for news on former contestants?

We discovered that Cycle 6 runner-up Joanie Dodds is co-hosting a home-improvement series on the Diy network, titled Run My Renovation.  She may not be using up all her Tyra-infused know-how on the series, but at least we get to see more of her.
