Julie Fine was born in Lancaster, Massachusetts and was schooled in
Harvard, Massachusetts. She began her career in New York at the age of
17 modeling for clients such as Nine West, Diesel, and Seventeen
Magazine. After graduating high school, she accepted a position in a
New York private equity firm, where she learned about infrastructure
plans designed to foster Israel-Palestinian accord through economic
development initiatives in Israel's West Bank, a subject that Fine
follows closely still today. It was while working in finance, that she
fell into acting by accident when she was cast on the street for an MTV
"Spankin' New" High Speed Internet commercial. Out of curiosity, she
continued to do acting jobs and later trained and performed at New
York's Stella Adler Conservatory. Later Fine studied for one year at
the Sally Johnson Studio (presently called "The Studio") in New York
City, and later with Joanna Beckson in the area of Meisner. Since the
completion of her first few independent films, Fine has done 3 national
commercials for Kellogg's Special K. Fine has also worked for many
European print catalogs, has been chosen as the face of many fashion
brands for fashion houses including Jocavi, Tom Tailor, B2 Fashion,
Xandres, Neckerman, Macy's, Bon Prix, Tchibo, Claudia Stevens... just
to name a few. Fine has also had fashion editorials in Nina Magazine,
Femina Magazine, Brigitte Magazine, Freundin Magazine, Glamour
Magazine, and Seventeen Magazine. Fine splits her time between
modeling, commercial acting jobs, and a cross-media personal project
slated for release in 2010.
