The first batch of performers is set for 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. Coming to the stage later this month will be Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid and Panic! at the Disco.

The annual Moon Person trophy show is set for August 28 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Kendrick Lamar, Jack Harlow & Lil Nas X coming into the show tied for the nominations lead with seven apiece. Next up are Doja Cat and Harry Styles with six each and Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd with five.

The 2022 VMAs will air at 8 p.m. Et/Pt Sunday, August 28, across MTV’s global linear and digital platforms in more than 170 countries. For the third straight year, the VMAs will simulcast on the CW, in addition to BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TVLand and VH1.

The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards are set to take place in New York tonight, celebrating the musicians and soundtrack of the past year. Here's what you need to know.

1. Full red carpet coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET on MTV. For those who cannot wait, MTV will stream footage on Twitter from 7:30 p.m. The pre-show will include performances from Backstreet Boys, Bazzi, and Bryce Vine.

2. The show will air live from New York City from 9 p.m. ET on MTV. It will also simulcast on VH1, BET, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, TV Land, CMT, and Logo. It is set to wrap shortly after 11 p.m.

3. Cardi B will give her first post-pregnancy performance as the opening act.

4. Cardi B leads all artists with 10 nominations, including Artist of the Year and Best New Artist. Her "Finesse" remix with Bruno Mars received five nominations, including Video of the Year and Song of the Year.

5. Ariana Grande will perform her single "God Is a Woman." Other artists set to perform include Travis Scott, Shawn Mendes, Logic with Ryan Tedder, Panic! At the Disco, and Post Malone.

6. Also set to perform is Jennifer Lopez, who will be honored with the show’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

7. Best Hip Hop nominee Nicki Minaj will be making her seventh VMA performance from "a secret, iconic location" in New York.

8. Presenters of the coveted Moon Person statuettes will include Millie Bobby Brown, Blake Lively, Liam Payne, Kevin Hart, and more.

9. Unusually, MTV hasn’t announced a host this year. The tagline of this year's show is "Everything Might Happen," so the host may be a surprise reveal.

One of the highest compliments you can pay to a TV show is this: It knows exactly what kind of show it is. And that’s very much the case for “What Would Diplo Do?” the new Viceland scripted comedy showrun by and starring James Van Der Beek.

What is a Diplo? You don’t necessarily need to know the answer to enjoy the series, directed by Brandon Dermer and starring Van Der Beek as a world-famous DJ who travels the world with an eclectic crew of characters performing sick concerts and getting into hijinks. But the answer is that Diplo (born Thomas Wesley Pentz) is a real Edm artist who (theoretically) is nothing at all like Van Der Beek’s portrayal. And that fact is part of what makes the series work so well, as Van Der Beek pushes his character portrait beyond simple caricature into the most out-there realms.

If it seems a little early for music festivals to begin unveiling their 2016 lineups, that’s probably because it is – but apparently Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival didn’t get that memo. Even though the Gulf Shores, Alabama event doesn’t take place until May, its organizers have already revealed a lineup that’s sure to give other festivals a run for their money.

Calvin Harris, Flume and The Chainsmokers make up the top tier of Edm headliners on the roster – a list which also includes Run The Jewels, 3Lau, Bro Safari, Snails and Alison Wonderland. Pop sensations such as The Weeknd, Florence & The Machine, Ellie Goulding and Panic At The Disco round out the event’s already formidable draw, making Hangout a massive not to be missed.

Marvel and Netflix are teaming up for four new superhero series. It’s been a long four years for many a Fall Out Boy fan. After the grossly under-received Folie a Deux, it was no surprise that the jittery four-piece decided to go down swinging. What was a surprise was when the band announced a surprise comeback album just two months ago. Complete with the rather pretentious title Save Rock & Roll. But you’ve got to admire them. There are few bands around these days who would have the guts to make this bold claim over an album that features an up-and-coming pop star and a rapper on vocals. Nevertheless, in an age when rock and roll is a genre buried deep beneath the power of computers, you can’t really expect it to be saved by a tribute to days gone by. Fall Out Boy recognise that it’s out with the old, in with the new.

On August 25th, Fueled by Ramen will release the Jennifer's Body Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The first single, "New Perspective" by Panic! at the Disco is now available for streaming, and Fangoria Musick has the full details on the rest of the collection below the jump!

This Friday, those who hit theaters to check out Sacha Baron Cohen's new comedy Bruno will be getting a look at the green-band (general audiences) trailer for Jennifer's Body.

Blink 182 have reportedly priced tickets for their upcoming summer tour at just $$20.
