The official trailer has been launched for filmmaker Suman Hanif’s British indie thriller ‘Tell Me About It.’

The film follows two British Pakistani teenagers Amara and Halima. Both friends plot a fun, girly adventure from Bradford to London but only if these girls knew what was coming their way. Amara gets kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity with her best friend Halima; the daughter of an acclaimed politician whose future plans to tackle drug crime in the city challenged the top goon in town. During this drastic and confusing coincidence, both Amara and the kidnapper are about to find themselves in inexplicable situations confronting their own unconscious demons which reflects the heart of this drama.

The film aims to be a promising advocate for misrepresented South Asian GenZ who have a strong influence of South Asian culture without actual experience, and have strong experience of British lifestyle without any influence.

A total of $700m will be invested in construction and infrastructure at the Us-based facility over its initial five year development plan.

Production and distribution outfit Medient Studios has revealed further details of the ambitious “Studioplex” that it is building in Effingham County, Georgia, in the Us, where it will be able access the State’s generous tax credits.

Tika Sumpter ("The Haves And Have-Nots") has joined the cast of Tate Taylor's James Brown biopic "Get On Up" at Universal Pictures. Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Nelsan Ellis

Sumpter will play Yvonne Fair, a singer in the James Brown Revue who recorded Brown's "I Found You" which later was reworked into his classic "I Got You (I Feel Good)". [Source: Deadline]

John Cusack stars, with a supporting cast including Sean Astin, Misha Barton, Michael Biehn, John Hannah, Rutger Hauer, Stelio Savante, Tom Sizemore and Sean Young. Kickback follows a renegade Moscow detective investigating the murder of a female war journalist. Based on a true story, the espionage themed thriller is due to start filming in March in Canada and Europe through Talking Lens Productions. Kevan Van Thompson co-produces alongside Mallal while Scene Bridge Entertainment's Ilja Rosendahl serves as executive producer.

La Vida Robot

Marisa Tomei has signed on opposite George Lopez in a film based on Joshua Davis' Wired magazine story "La Vida Robot" for Pantelion Films. Filming is now underway in New Mexico under the helm of Sean McNamara.

Blade Runner actor Rutger Hauer is the latest name attached to UK thriller Kickback.

Written and directed by Raza Mallal of Yorkshire-based Talking Lens Productions, the crime-thriller, previously known as Shoot the Breeze, follows a renegade Moscow detective investigating the murder of a female war journalist.

Also attached are John Cusack in the lead role, Sean Young, Karen David, Sean Astin, Mischa Barton, Michael Biehn, Tom Sizemore and John Hannah.

DoP Douglas Milsome is also attached.

Kickback marks Mallal’s directorial debut. He is co-producing with Kevan Van Thompson and executive producer Ilja Rosendahl of Scene Bridge Entertainment.

War Inc. writer Mark Leyner is currently working on the script with Raza and the film’s latest provisional start date is March in Prague.

Donald Sutherland never “stopped being great,” though it took an action blockbuster to remind everyone what true value the man adds to his projects. It’s with this mindset that I casually look upon Shoot the Breeze, an independent war thriller which, according to TheWrap, he’s being courted to star in — alongside Gia Skova and under the guidance of writer-director Raza Mallal.

His screenplay revolves around a “a renegade Moscow detective (I’m guessing this is Sutherland)” who, with a Chechen war reporter’s murder, is compelled to conduct an investigation that could only reveal some kind of conspiracy. Skova, an up-and-coming actress herself, has been locked to play a friend of the dead reporter’s. (Or former friend, technically.)

That’s all we have on Shoot the Breeze at this moment; not much, though Sutherland, nevertheless, creates a bit of curiosity on my own part. Mallal will commence production in the spring,...
