Caroline G. Pleasant

Caroline was born in Richmond, Virginia. She came to the Washington
Metropolitan area in 1968, so this is now "home". Caroline spent 25
years as a Federal employee. In 1994, she decided to pursue a life-long
interest in acting and began to work in community theater. A couple
credits in that regard are: The Judge in "Nuts", and The Preacter in
"Gospel at Colonus". Caroline decided to attend college and get a
degree in Theater. She graduated from Prince Georges Community College
with an Associate of Arts Degree in Theater. She continued acting with
work in industrials, extra work in two television series, "The Corner",
and "Homicide: Life on the Streets, and more stage plays. Her
breakthrough role was Bodie's grandmother in two episodes of "The Wire"
in their first season. She played that role in episodes 4 and 6. With
that portrayal, Caroline became eligible for Screen Actors Guild
(S.A.G.), ofnow which she is a member.
