Lipstone is the third generation of a family that has devoted over 100 years working in the entertainment business. Lipstone worked at the William Morris Agency for 21 years, initially as a trainee and subsequently rising through the ranks to head the agency's network television department.
Lipstone is a member of the Board of Governors for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, an Associate Member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and on the board of directors for NATPE and the Hollywood Radio & Television Society (HRTS). Born and raised in L.A., he received a BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
