Alessandra Streignard

At an early age Alessandra was forced to mature very quickly, with the
arrival of her then nephew Mateo and now adopted son. She is thought to
have cared for Mateo since she was eight, and legally adopted him when
she was seventeen in their home country. She was raised in Spain until
the age of 12, then she and her family moved to the US. As a child and
into early adulthood, Alessandra entered into several beauty pageants,
only losing one. In 1999 Alessandra followed her passion for orchids,
opening nurseries in Spain and the US. In 2003 she also opened a
boutique, where she sells her own designs, fragrances, and accessories.
