Jackie Snow

Jackie is a movement coach, choreographer and movement director. She choreographs and movement directs on plays, films and television productions. She gives individual coaching for specific roles and movement skills, including acrobatics and historical dance and movement. Jackie can create choreography with non-dancers, staging crowds, dance scenes and giving movement coaching on specific roles. She can interpret the vision of the director and can advise on the etiquette and movement styles of historical periods.

As movement director, Jackie works closely with directors and actors to create a specific world for the play or movement for the production. She coaches specific dance styles including tap, ballroom, and historical dance as well as acrobatics, and movement including animal work.

Jackie is former Head of Movement at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She has been training actors in movement for nearly thirty years at two of the leading drama schools, RADA and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD). She was Master of Movement at Shakespeare's Globe and she has taught Period dance workshops in America and shared the Movement for actor training with the teachers at the Central Academy of Drama, Beijing, China. Actors she has trained include: Daniel Craig, Ewan McGregor, Orlando Bloom, Damien Lewis, Dominic West, Gemma Arteton, Michelle Dockery, Hayley Atwell, Rees Evans, Alistair McGowan, Shirley Henderson and Jodie Whitaker
