Don is a Dutch actor active on television and in theaters. He is also active as singer and director.
He excels as Black Piet 'Chefpiet', a character based on the popular tradition of saint Nicolas (Sinterklaas). His appearance as Black Piet spawned many TV series; "Pittige Pepernoten" (1997), "Hallo, Met Sinterklaas..." (1998), "De Club van Sinterklaas" (1999, 2001, 2002, 2005), "Sinterklaas & Pakjesboot 13" (2006) and more recently "Slot Marsepeinstein" (2013-2014). Also in theaters he is active in the role of Black Piet.

Chefpiet starred in the television series "Pittige Pepernoten" (1997) for RTL4, in the very popular television series "De Club van Sinterklaas" (1999, 2001, 2002 and 2005) for Fox Kids and Jetix, and in the home video and television movie "Sinterklaas & Pakjesboot 13" (2006). In 2000 he was part of a series of special weekends taped live in the broadcast office of Fox Kids.
In 1998 Don performed the role of Hoofdpiet for TROS in a television special titled "Hallo, Met Sinterklaas...". In 2013 Don performed the role of Smartpiet for Nickelodeon and Studio 100 in the series "Slot Marsepeinstein" which he performed again in 2014 for broadcast on Studio 100 TV in Belgium.
