Amanda Reyes is a journalist and horror movie fanatic born on June
16th, 1971 in Oxnard, California, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Amanda relocated to Los Angeles in 1996 and although forays into becoming a filmmaker were mostly unsuccessful at first, she flourished as a writer/reviewer/screenwriter in the 2000s. Her reviews have been featured on the websites of Film Threat, Retro Slashers, Pretty Scary, Scream TV and the Horror Channel among others. She has been quoted on video boxes, national newspaper ad campaigns and was interviewed by Sirens of Cinema Magazine (2007).
In 2006, Amanda submitted her short film, The Pick-Up to a filmmaker named Kale Adams in Texas. This dark period piece loosely based on a true story is in production and scheduled for release in 2008 or 2009. Her next short, Abigail, is also in production with the same director.
In 2008, besides anticipating the completion of both short films, Amanda is starting a new website where she can feature her more personal work to a larger audience.
