Auditioned for the part of JJ Jones in Skins (2007).

His father is of Norwegian descent. His maternal grandfather was Italian, while his maternal grandmother was Australian.

He was originally cast as young king Stefan in Maleficent (2014). But was decided too old in the first few weeks of filming and recast.

Has acted in 2 separate television shows based on the written works of Bernard Cornwell. The first being Sharpe's Challenge (2006) (2006) and then The Last Kingdom (2015) (2015).
