- The Silver Goat, in which Alexa played the female lead, was the first film in the world made for the iPad. The premiere took place on the 11th May 2012 on a Routemaster bus.

- Her film Night Bus was selected for the BFI London Film Festival 2014. Time Out magazine named Night Bus one of the top 25 films to see at the BFI London Film Festival.
- Her film Sub Rosa was selected to screen at the Helsinki International Film Festival 2014.
- Night Bus won Best Feature and Best Director at the British Independent Film Festival 2015, where it was also nominated for Best Cinematography, the British Lion Award and others.
- Sub Rosa won Special Mention of the Jury at the Reykjavik International Film Festival.
- Sub Rosa was nominated for Best Short Film at the Icelandic Film and Television Awards.
- Sub Rosa won Best Short Film at the San Diego Film Festival in 2015.
- Significance was shown at the London Independent Film Festival 2016.
- Short film Significance, directed by Jack Pirie and Alex Hylands-White and produced by Halcyon, will be screened at the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) in November 2016.
