- Graduated from same high school as Sutton Foster (Troy High School, Michigan.).
- Played 16" Chicago Theatre League softball one summer with Jon Favreau.
- Has home Whisper Room recording studio where she records audio books and other voiceover work. (2014)
- In 2021, Teri's son played Trevor in his high school's production of the Broadway hit comedy THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG (they were granted the full-length version rights shortly before Broadway and National Tours re-opened after COVID-19 had halted all productions.) In the playbill, Teri's name was listed under "Boosters" on the same page as J. J. Abrams, whose name was listed as one of the Broadway producers, as required by the right's holders in all productions. This was during the 10th year anniversary of J. J. Abram's film SUPER 8, where he directed Teri as Mrs. Babbit (the town hall meeting lady who thought the Russians were responsible for all the town's mishaps.).
