to work as an actor started in college under the Direction of Broadway

as earning a Masters degree in Adult Education, Robert closed his very
successful window treatment company to pursue a management position in
NYC at NYU as well as worked as an Adjunct Professor with a local Bronx
College. Before moving to South Florida, from their Upper East Side
apartment, Robert spent some time training at HB Studios, and worked on
various INDY Films, as well as a year long stint as a Background Actor
for Saturday Night Live. After working with and running into him on
several social occasions Actor Alec Baldwin provided Robert with
several words of encouragement. Whether or not those words where meant
for it or not Robert deiced to produce his own films with his own
money. This wasn't a venture Robert jumped into lightheartedly however
he did learn a valuable lesson on his first short film called
Expectations (2008) "Like Real-Estate, 'Pre-Production, Pre-Production,
Pre-Production'". After tightening up his journey and wallet, Robert
then found another unique project. After several months of
back and forth, planning, and script changes Robert wrote another check
or two and flew to Texas where they filmed Double Negative (2010). After a lengthy Post-Production the film was released in 2010 on David Arquette's online film distribution company, inmoo its successful release turned some
heads and opened up meetings to the now Film Producer and Actor Robert
Gordon Spencer. Chasing his passion to help college students, Robert
wasn't ready to leave for LA just yet. After moving to Boynton Beach,
FL, Robert secured a senior management position at a large university
in Palm Beach. Robert then auditioned and was accepted into the Master
Acting Class with Actor Burt Reynolds in Jupiter, Florida. Mr. Reynolds
often compared Robert's personality and acting talent with none other
than James Stewart and Garry Marshall both personal friends to Mr.
Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds encouragement and uplifting comments have stuck
with Robert and assisted in his decision to move his family to Los
Angeles, Ca. Robert and his three children now live in Tennessee Dr. Spencer recently completed a Doctorate from Middle Tennessee State University.
