Aaron Benay
Aaron & Matthew Benay are an LA-based screenwriting team. In features, they've scripted the next installment of Disney's billion-dollar "National Treasure" franchise. They've also recently written "Legends of the Crown" for Skydance, which unites the most famous princesses from folklore into an adventure tale that upends the genre and empowers the women as warriors.

In TV, they're adapting IDW's popular graphic novel "The Electric Sublime," a high-concept espionage series in which works of art are used as portals to alternate realms.

In China, they've adapted "The Monkey King" for Oriental DreamWorks, updating one of the Four Great Classics of Chinese literature for a modern audience.

The Benay Bros. have written features for nearly all of the Hollywood studios, including Disney, DreamWorks, Skydance, Sony, 20th Century Fox, Universal, and Warner Bros. They've collaborated with some of the most iconic names in entertainment, including Brad Bird, Jerry Bruckheimer, Mike DeLuca, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brian Grazer, and Ridley Scott.

Aaron Benay is an active volunteer in the LGBTQIA+ community. He is Head of the Duke LGBTQ Network of Southern California and Co-Chair of the National Duke LGBTQ Network Programming Committee, as well as a member of the Ivy Pride Alliance LA Planning Committee and WGA LGBTQ+ Writers Committee.
