Daryl Edwards, Matt Long, Luna Blaise, Josh Dallas, J.R. Ramirez, Holly Taylor, Melissa Roxburgh, Parveen Kaur, and Ty Doran in Manifest (2018)
Manifest, which is preparing to land for one final season on Netflix after its untimely cancellation by NBC, has been nothing short of a bumpy ride. However, the TV series has captivated viewers with its story of the Montego Airways Flight 828 passengers, who landed in New York City to the shock of a lifetime. They had been missing for five and a half years and presumed dead in which time their loved ones all aged, but they returned completely unchanged.

Throughout three seasons, we’ve watched the passengers struggle to adapt to their new reality, which has changed their relationships with their families, made them garner often-unwanted attention, and put them in difficult and dangerous situations as their return gave them prophetic visions and thoughts known as “Callings.”

But that’s not all, so before things get rolling again, let’s look back at where the show left us…

I’M Your Woman – Review
Image
So, are you a film fan that gets a bit of seasonal movie overload this time of year? You’re thinking, “Enough with the couples making ‘goo-goo’ eyes while whipping up a snowman!” or perhaps, with all that’s happening you can’t get your “jolly” on. In the mood for a gritty action thriller, set in those “down and dirty” 1970s, complete with pistol-packin’ polyester-wearing thugs? Well, Santa’s cinema elves have fashioned a stocking-stuffer just for you. So, is this a follow-up to the crime epic from last year’s holiday season, with more “digitally de-aged” Bobby D and Al P? Nope, it’s not needed this time around, because the lead is one of our newer rising stars, though she’s best known as the lead in a celebrated TV sitcom. Her? This gets a bit more interesting. What happens amidst the usual gangster mayhem when she...

Jameson Charles, Justin Charles, and Rachel Brosnahan in I'm Your Woman (2020)
"I just thought you should be prepared for what comes next." Amazon Prime Video has released an official trailer for a 1970s crime thriller titled I'm Your Woman, the latest from acclaimed filmmaker Julia Hart. In this 70s crime film, a woman is forced to go on the run after her husband betrays his partners, sending her and her baby on a dangerous journey. The film draws on signature '70s crime dramas to offer a compelling portrait of the women who are often left at home in those stories. "The primary inspiration for wanting to set in the '70s was to reclaim a bit of that period and that genre for a female protagonist," Hart tells EW. Rachel Brosnahan stars with Marsha Stephanie Blake, Arinzé Kene, James McMenamin, Marceline Hugot, Frankie Faison, & Bill Heck. It's premiering at AFI Fest this month before debuting on Amazon in December. This...

"Orange is the New Black" Recap & Review: Season 3 Finale
It's only fitting in a season defined by its relentless desire to challenge the faith of its characters, for the third season finale of "Orange is the New Black" to present the inmates with an actual miracle. Obviously the hole in the fence has a very good reason for being there and there is also a very good reason the inmates are able to take advantage of it, but they make the narrative feat executed by Jenji Kohan and the other writers no less miraculous. "Orange is the New Black" feels uniquely positioned to confront the topic head on without flinching but still not come across as exploitative. Starting with "A Tittin' and a Hairin'" all three episodes belong to Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) to varying degrees. Her journey this season has added more of an understanding her character than...
