Born in Brooklyn, New York, Alexis J. Estevez discovered his knack for creativity early on. His childhood hobby of drawing evolved into illustrating his own comic books, eventually leading him to pursue graphic design studies at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. It was during a class video assignment there that he found his passion for filmmaking.
Estevez returned to New York City and directed several short films along with a feature called Animus (2011). He later expanded his directorial portfolio to include projects for Comedy Central and 20th Century Fox. Upon moving back to Los Angeles, his dark comedy, Harvard Court (2015), gained recognition through multiple film festival awards. He also contributed to directing endeavors for NBCUniversal and Outdoor Channel, notably producing and editing Dead Meat Walking: A Zombie Walk Documentary (2012) featuring Norman Reedus and Tom Savini.
