As Vice President of Corporate Communications and Talent Relations for Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. (SBS), Vladimir Gomez is responsible for all corporate, internal and crisis communications, as well as programming publicity efforts for the division, which includes the MegaTV Network, LaMusica App, Digital Media & Emerging Businesses, and Aire Radio Networks. Working closely with senior management, Vladimir is charged with creating, implementing and managing communication programs to strategically position the company among its key stakeholders.
Previously, Vladimir served as Director of Corporate Communications and Talent Relations for SBS. Since he joined SBS in 2004, the multi-platform company has enjoyed growing visibility among advertisers, Hispanic opinion leaders and viewers, as well as talent and the industry in general. Vladimir is part of the executive team that led the company to the creation of its original content model, which has positioned SBS as the #1 Spanish-language network in radio for years fueled by original productions such as "Cala", "Bayly" and "Ahora con Oscar Haza. He also oversees communications efforts for the network's entertainment content, including concerts initiatives, as well as for its News division.
Additionally, Vladimir was instrumental in developing network pro-social initiatives such as the decade-long educational campaign; the company-wide voter registration campaign; and the year-long 2010-2020 Census awareness campaign, as well as other initiatives related to key social issues including self-esteem, health and self-empowerment, among others.
An experienced communications executive, Vladimir joined SBS from Telemundo Network. Prior to Telemundo Network, Vladimir was on air talent and producer of "Frecuencia" a company owned by Emilio Estefan Jr and wife Gloria Estefan aired on Telemundo/MUN2.
Vladimir is an experienced talent with strong background in the publicity and marketing areas, where he developed and executed pan-regional communications programs for entertainment and broadcasting clients. Vladimir has been recognized by the television academy and academy of television arts & sciences with 2 Emmy Awards. Billboard Magazine has named him outstanding publicist in various publications. Vladimir has been awarded "Marketer of the Year 2018" by Radio Ink Magazine.
Vladimir holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communications and Public Relations from NYU and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Public Relations from UM. He is a board member of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, a member of the Public Relations Society of America and Barry's College of Communication, Architecture, and a former "Big Brothers, Big Sisters" mentor. Vladimir resides in Miami, Florida.
