Idalina Leandro is an award-winning Canadian-Portuguese actor and filmmaker, whose acting journey began in Paris in 2004. She trained extensively in the Meisner Technique with Scott Williams at The Impulse Company in London, UK and continued her development with Clay Banks in LA, Adrian Griffin at Fraser Studio in Toronto, and Stephen Van Dorn at The Warner Loughlin Studios. She also honed her improv skills at Toronto's Bad Dog Theatre.
After founding her production company in London, Idalina wrote, directed, and starred in multiple short films and appeared in the feature The Last Seven alongside Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan. Returning to acting in 2019, she has earned multiple accolades, including Outstanding Actress for The Pines Still Whisper at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2024, Best Actress for Everything is Fcked* at the Toronto International Women Film Festival in 2024, and Best Supporting Actress for Apple Pie at the Swedish International Film Festival in 2023.
Her latest project, Everything is F*cked, is captivating audiences on the festival circuit and solidifying her reputation as a versatile and accomplished performer.
