Cleopatra Koheirwe

Cleopatra Koheirwe is a Ugandan actress, writer, singer and media personality working at Radiocity 97Fm. Her first onscreen role was on The Last King of Scotland as Joy and she has since garnered numerous roles on different film and television projects locally and internationally including a role on Netflix's Sense8 as Mother in season 2
Cleopatra was born to Jocelyn Twinesanyu "Sanyu" Rwekikiga and Anthony Abamwikirize Bateyo in 1982. Unfortunately she never met her father who had been killed during the Obote regime on allegations that he for the National Resistance Movement NRM, then PRA. She was raised by her mother who unfortunately fell ill and passed on when Cleopatra was just 15. She was then taken in by her late mother's older brother Dr. Rwekikiga Asiimwe and his wife Sedrace Rwekikiga with whom she had been close. They have been her guardians since. Her mother's death hit her so hard that she vowed to make something of herself in memory of her because her mother had believed in her capabilities in the arts even at an early age.
