Darshan Ashwin Trivedi is an Indian filmmaker from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Darshan is known for his work in Gujarati Cinema. Darshan's debut feature film is Mrugtrushna (The Other Side of the River). Darshan won the best screenplay award for Mrugtrushna at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth, Iran. His second film, Mara Pappa Superhero, revolves around magic realism and fandom. The film won the Best Children's Film award at the Tiburon International Film Festival 2021. His third film is relationship-based, Lakiro, which was shot in 2021. After Lakiro Darshan made Keri in 2022, which is a mother daughter relationship based film. Darshan's first Hindi film is Aaj Jaaneki Zidd Na Karo, which was shot in 2023. In December 2023, Darshan shot his second Hindi film, Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, the official remake of Basu Chatterjee's cult classic film. Before making feature films, Darshan directed many short films, including Suicide, which he shot in Canada. At age ten, Darshan joined the entertainment industry, first as a Radio artist and later as a television, theatre, and film actor. Darshan holds a Ph.D. in sociology and law from Gujarat National Law University.
