Mike Flanagan Still Feels Miffed Over Peacock Shelving Bryan Fuller's Friday the 13th Series
Image
It was a bittersweet Friday the 13th this month for acclaimed horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan. The Doctor Sleep director was reminded about the plans that Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller had for Crystal Lake which will now never come to pass, a bitter pill to swallow for Flanagan.

Flanagan commented on the fate of Fuller's Crystal Lake with a post shared on the social media platform X. He mourned the loss of the project, as he was privy to what Fuller was planning, which had left him impressed. While Fuller's Crystal Lake is dead in the water, however, Flanagan finds some solace in keeping up with other offerings that he'll have to offer, such as the upcoming thriller Dust Bunny.

On this Friday the 13th, can't help but to reflect on the Crystal Lake series that almost was. @BryanFuller was onto something terrific. Will just wait with bated breath for his excellent Dust Bunny.

Dark Sky Films' Laced Coming to VOD + Digital Platform January 12: "Laced is a modern thriller/drama in the vein of Hitchcockian classics like Dial M for Murder and Rear Window. Set in a single location, the piece explores the claustrophobic nature of young love strung with toxicity and lies, and the cyclical nature of violence.
