Russian-born actor Alex Sparrow has joined the cast of Sean McNamara’s Ronald Reagan biopic, Variety has confirmed.

In “Reagan,” Sparrow will portray an up-and-coming Russian political leader named Andrei Novikov. Sparrow will act alongside Jon Voight, who plays a Kgb agent who tracked Reagan for 40 years. In search of answers about the Soviet Union’s demise, Sparrow’s character soon becomes acquainted with the Kgb agent.

“We are excited to have Alex on board,” McNamara said. “He brings poise and strength to the character and brings Novikov to life.”

Sparrow most recently appeared in the Netflix series “Space Force” as Yuri “Bobby” Telatovich, the Russian Space Force liaison. “Space Force” has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix, Variety has confirmed.

The show’s first season debuted back in May. Production on Season 2 is currently slated to begin in Vancouver in 2021.

The show is inspired by President Trump’s proposal for sixth branch of the military and centers around decorated pilot and four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell), who has dreamed of running the Air Force, but instead finds himself tasked with leading the newly formed Space Force.

When Donald Trump and the executive branch of the U.S. government announced the creation of a sixth division of the armed forces called “Space Force,” many of us had the same idea. Space…Force? Steve Carell and Greg Daniels, star of and creator of NBC’s The Office, respectively, had a slightly different idea altogether. This is going to get us that sweet Netflix money.

While Lifetime hasn't cancelled its UnREAL TV show after three seasons, the fourth season of fictional dating reality TV series drama won't run on the cable network. Instead, Lifetime has sold the rights to UnREAL season four to Hulu, where the low-rated show does well with binge-watching fans. Despite the long wait for this third season, fans shouldn't worry too much that the UnREAL TV show will be cancelled by Lifetime. The cable network already renewed it for season four, back in July of 2017 and soon after began casting the next, reportedly shorter, installment. Still, the ratings for each season still influence whether UnREAL will be cancelled or renewed beyond that, so stay tuned. Lifetime’s critically acclaimed Bachelor-skewering drama series UnREAL is back for its third season, and People’s got the exclusive premiere of its first official trailer.

Stars Shiri Appleby and Emmy nominee Constance Zimmer are once again leading the charge as producers Rachel and Quinn — the dynamic, destructive duo orchestrating all the action behind the scenes of the fictional dating competition show Everlasting, which serves as the backdrop for UnREAL‘s very real drama.

New to the action this year is suitress Serena (Caitlin FitzGerald of Masters of Sex fame), a Silicon Valley mogul who doesn’t appear to play Rachel and Quinn’s games.

Exorcism movies are a sub-genre of horror that’s constantly being mined for new ideas, despite the lack of new perspective on the tired topic. William Friedkin’s definitive film on the subject landed over 40 years ago and has yet to face any serious competition, but could that be about to change? The latest entry into the niche hails from Mark Neveldine, whose forthcoming horror The Vatican Tapes tackles the perils of having one’s body invaded by a nasty demon.

In this case, that unfortunate circumstance is bestowed upon 27-year-old Angela Holmes, played by Olivia Dudley. A seemingly ordinary girl, she starts to realize that her very being causes those around her to either suffer from hideous injuries.

Thankfully, local priest, Father Lozano (Fury‘s Michael Pena), examines Holmes and concludes that she is possessed. As is often the case with exorcisms, despite the presence of Vatican brass Vicar...

When the Vatican brings out the heavy artillery and officially sends two priests to handle an exorcism, you know they mean business… and so does the demon they’ve been sent to face. This latest spiritual showdown is at the center of director Mark Neveldine’s upcoming film, The Vatican Tapes, which just received a release date.

Neveldine announced via Twitter that The Vatican Tapes will hit theaters on February 27th, 2015. A frequent collaborator with filmmaker Brian Taylor (they co-directed Crank, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, and two other films) Neveldine makes his solo directing debut with The Vatican Tapes. Director Mark Neveldine took to Twitter this evening to tell the world that his next film, The Vatican Tapes, is going to hit theaters on February 27, 2015. Michael Peña, Academy Djimon Hounsou, Dougray Scott, Kathleen Robertson, Peter Andersson, Olivia Dudley, John Patrick Amedori, Cas Anvar and Alex Sparrow. This is Neveldine's first solo feature. He previously helmed the Crank films, Gamer and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance with Brian Taylor.

Source Code actor Cas Anvar will next appear in The Vatican Tapes, reports Deadline.  He'll apparently play a doctor - who knows how involved his character will be in the film's turn of events.  Michael Peña, Academy Djimon Hounsou, Dougray Scott, Kathleen Robertson, Peter Andersson, Olivia Dudley, John Patrick Amedori and Alex Sparrow also star in the film which is being directed by Mark Neveldine and released by Lionsgate.

Michael Pena and Djimon Hounsou have joined the demonic possession drama "The Vatican Tapes" at Lakeshore Entertainment and Lionsgate.

The story follows a 27-year-old woman (Olivia Dudley) who begins to have a devastating effect on anyone who gets close to her.

Pena will play a local priest who believes she is possessed, while Hounsou plays a Vatican official called in to exorcise the demon.

Dougray Scott, Kathleen Robertson, Peter Andersson, Olivia Dudley, John Patrick Amedori and Alex Sparrow also star.

Mark Neveldine ("Crank," "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance") will helm the project from a script by Christopher Borrelli that Neveldine and Michael C. Martin revised.

Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Chris Cowles are producing. Shooting will begin in July.

According to the folks over at Deadline Michael Pena has gotten on board for “The Vatican Tapes.” He joins Djimon Hounsou, Dougray Scott, Kathleen Robertson, Peter Andersson, John Patrick Amedori, Alex Sparrow and Olivia Dudley.

Pena is set to play priest Father Lozano in the demonic thriller, which is directed by Mark Neveldine.

The film follows the haunting tale of 27-year-old Angela Holmes (Olivia Dudely), who accidentally cuts her finger and ends up in the emergency room. Infection leads to erratic behavior, and she begins to have a devastating effect on anyone close, causing serious injury and death. Priests examine Holmes and believe she is possessed, but when the Vatican is called upon to exorcise the demon, the possession proves to be an ancient satanic force more powerful than they imagined.

Movie is set to start filming next month.
