Richard was born and raised in Jefferson City, Mo. Although he loved Missouri, he moved to New York City in his early twenties, then on to San Francisco for several years, and then to beautiful Los Angeles in the late 80's. "I've broken all my records living in one place here in LA for 32 years!"
Richard combined the public speaking and performance skills he gained getting his BFA in Speech and Theater at Missouri State University, along with the business acumen he learned getting his MBA from California State Pomona, to conduct thousands of workshops throughout California focusing on such topics as Project Management, Customer Service, Computer Programming, Software skills, Diversity, Embracing Change, etc.
His hobbies include, singing in various choirs, marathon running, world travel, and walking on nearby beaches with his dog, Sammy. Richard particularly enjoys his service trips to Africa for "Water for People," an organization which provides potable drinking water solutions in third world countries.
He worked in the water industry as a Computer Programmer Analyst, Corporate Trainer, and HR Supervisor for 25 years before retiring early from his corporate life to focus on his true love, acting!
Richard is very proud of his SAG-AFTRA union affiliation and is enjoying the process of achieving his dream of acting in commercials, TV shows, and movies!
