Julie Dickson was born in Sydney, Australia and then spent the first 6 years of her life in her hometown of Scotland. After 6 Years her family immigrated to Australia.

A born performer, during her high school years Julie performed in many musicals including "The Boyfriend" as Polly Brown. After school Julie would find herself at either acting classes or at the local theatre rehearsing for amateur stage performances where she claimed the lead role each time acting and singing. In 2000 Julie's love of film flourished when she played an extra in the feature film "Undead" directed by The Spierig Brothers.

In 2002 Julie found herself with the travel bug and went back to Scotland to live and work for 12 months. She then returned to Australia where she started modeling as a hobby to build her portfolio, and also took back to the stage this time with her local theater group.

In 2007 Julie made the move to South Australia and was cast as the lead role playing a Hit Woman in her first independent feature film "The Counterpart". The Director Lucas Scheffel was so impressed with Julie's performance he offered her an additional two minor roles in the film on top of her lead role as Loud Lily. Julie traveled for 6hrs every weekend for two years to the Riverland in South Australia for the film. "The Counterpart" was also Julie's first lesson in Producing and she has now gone on to not only acting in, but also independently producing a number of short and feature films.
