David Staines is a writer, actor, and singer.
On screen he played 'The Psychologist' in 'Elemental Storage' and on stage has been seen as 'Anatoly Sergievsky' in 'Chess', the title roles in 'Jekyll & Hyde', 'Jesus Christ Superstar', and 'An Inspector Calls', 'Jesus' in 'Godspell', 'Danilo' in 'The Merry Widow', and 'Fagin' in 'Oliver!'.
He wrote the libretti for the opera 'Jack' (composer Robin Martin-Oliver) and the musical 'Night Flight' (composer Luke Simnett) based on the novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. His debut novel 'The Watchman of Kerioth' was a finalist in the Next Generation Book Awards.
David lives in Oxfordshire, England.
