Jim Whelehan

Jim Whelehan is President and CEO of Sunspot Media Services, based in Torrance, CA and founded in 2009 (Originally launched as Sun-Spot Productions). It started as a school endeavor in the UCLA Business program for Entertainment, and then grew into a passion for helping new directors, DP's, Gaffers, Make-up folks, etc., get started with their film projects. Jim's original plan was to do 4 short films and 1 full length feature (Which was done up until 2014).

In 2024, Jim re-branded Sun-Spot Productions into Sunspot Media Services, offering both Film and TV services but also consultative services for Analytics and Data in the Entertainment Industry.
