Nicholas is an award-winning Australian-Chinese director. He directed on the FremantleMedia drama, Wentworth, as well as second unit on the Matchbox Pictures miniseries, Hungry Ghosts starring Bryan Brown. Nicholas won an Australian Directors' Guild award for his short film telling the story of Senator Mehreen Faruqi, Australia's first female Muslim senator. Nicholas' short documentary, The Navigator, which told the story of his grandfather in World War II, was broadcast on the ABC.
