Robert Christopher Spence is a British actor, born and raised in the rural countryside of Hampshire, England. Upon the completion of his undergraduate degree at St Mary's College University and a run on the London stage with The Haymarket Youth Theatre, he moved to New York City. Upon his arrival, he trained with the esteemed likes of Austin Pendleton, Amanda Quaid, Mark Blum, Amy Wright and Laura Esterman at the acclaimed HB Studio in the West Village. It was here where Robert began a career in voice over work, establishing a four-year relationship with the award-winning producer Rich LePage, and then later with the reputable CESD Talent Agency.

Under the careful hand of Amy Wright, Robert's New York stage career flourished, starring in such productions as the American classic 'Can't Take It With You'. He then became a member of the HB Playwrights Ensemble, taking his place on the stage for the second time as the tortured brother, Andrey, in Anton Chekhov's masterpiece, 'Three Sisters'.

In 2010, Robert took the leap to Off-Broadway at The Clurman Theatre, starring in the Stepping Stone Theatre Company's new play 'Reflections of a Heart', written by Christopher G. Roberts. His performance garnered the attention of Christopher Cohen, the Artistic Director of Silent Street Productions, who then cast Robert as Dan in the company's premiere production of Patrick Marber's 'Closer'. The production was met with rave reviews - "The acting is fantastic, the direction is clear, the characters are, in a word, scintillating", with Robert making "Dan's cruelty and carelessness the near-sum of his character", this was hailed as "a wonderful choice on Spence's part".

Robert then made the move from stage to screen, landing starring roles in the independent films 'Yoko and Gary' (dir. Kate Barker), 'God is in The Yellow Pages' (dir. Eric Tao) and the experimental, award-winning 'Enso' (dir. Arthur Hsing, Merit Award 2009 Accolade Competition).

In 2011, Robert collaborated with the award-winning company Glow Productions, taking the leading role as FBI Agent, Simon, in the ground-breaking online interactive web series for the USA Network, '36 Hours'. The series coincided with the second season of the network's #1 show 'White Collar' starring Matt Bomer. It followed Simon as he unearthed the identity of the person who sabotaged his partner's reputation.

Robert then landed the starring role in the international commercial campaign for 'FXCM', airing throughout the United States, Europe and Australia. He then took a comedic turn as Mockingbird Man in a commercial for the insurance company, 'Geico'.

In 2012, Robert took to the small screen as Bruce, the boyfriend and suspected murderer of Jackie Galloway, in the season finale of Discovery ID's new #1 show, 'Redrum'.

Robert will next be seen as the villain, General Nexxus and his human alter ego, in the two-part season finale of the hit Nickelodeon show, 'Alien Dawn', and as Henry in the film adaptation of Gary William's critically-acclaimed play 'A Death In Bethany'.
