Minx season 3 was more than teased by the cliffhanger-heavy season 2 finale, but the period comedy has once again been canceled. The raunchy comedy Minx received praise for its quirky characters and colorful 1970's world of adult magazine publishing, detailing the story of the first erotic magazine aimed at the female market. Minx debuted on HBO Max in 2022 before moving over to Starz for 2023's season 2.

CBS has named the creative and writing team that will lead the studio’s actors showcase in 2020, formerly known as the CBS Diversity Sketch Comedy Showcase. The event, intended to highlight diverse talent, is attended by senior CBS network execs, showrunners and casting directors on CBS series, as well as talent agents and managers.

Returning to direct Showcase, as it is now known, is Stephen Guarino, an actor-writer-director known for “EastSiders” and “I’m Dying Up Here,” while Tess Paras is joining as associate director. Tien Tran, who has appeared on “Easy” and “Hot Date,” will serve as head writer of the writers’ room of 11. Guarino, Paras and Tran are all Showcase alum.

Lorne Michaels launched the careers of Fred Armisen and Horatio Sanz, and now Michaels, Armisen, and Sanz want to do the same thing for you — as long as you are a Latino writer or comedian who has enough experience in the industry not to have to pitch unsolicited material to their new venture, Más Mejor, an internet studio the trio launched in the hopes of cultivating Latino talent. The project's current roster includes The Office's Oscar Nuñez and Reno 911's Carlos Alazraqui, and the sketch group Room 28, plus comedians like Fabrizio Copano, Sofia Gonzalez, and Melissa Villaseñor. The channel launched on Wednesday with a handful of videos, including a Documentary Now!–style genre spoof from Armisen and Sanz, and an obligatory Donald Trump punchfest.
