- Preetam Koilpillai is an actor, theatre director and musician, from Bangalore, India. He made his screen acting debut playing Dr. Sridhar in the Netflix series 'Killer Soup' (2024) starring Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sensharma. As a professional musician he has played solo concerts in India and abroad and later was part of Dr. L Subramaniam's ensemble, performing across India and several countries across Europe, Africa and Asia. He has also taught piano for many years. Preetam's work in theatre started with school plays and with the local community theatre group. He co-founded a theatre group called 'rafiki' in Bangalore with a couple of friends, and then went on to co-found a group called 'black coffee'. With 'black coffee' he acted in and directed over 25 theatrical productions, performing in Bangalore and elsewhere in India. After spending many years doing music and theatre, Preetam developed an interest in film. He made a few shorts, including the 2010 short documentary 'passport photos', a film on a group of young Tibetans, that screened in 14 international film festivals in 11 countries.
